Discernment: Adult

Work. Home. Relationships. Faith.
National politics. Global challenges. How does it all fit together?
Maybe you’re relatively happy, but you’re feeling like
something is missing.
Where’s God in your life
and in the world?
God is often found in the gap between
being comfortable and exploring the new or different. God is in community – those people that
help us listen to God’s voice within, who help us through good
and difficult times to follow our calling, and who help us see the
connections, or disconnections, in our life. God is where there are
people in need of your presence and your service.
Marists find God in a serious, joyful,
and fulfilling commitment of love and service to God in the spirit
of Mary. Mary’s faithful
and humble spirit is one that responds to God saying, "Let
it be done to me according to your Word." We are sustained
by prayer and by sharing our lives with fellow Marist priests and
brothers
and the broader Marist family, including sisters and laity.
Our vocation finds us living on
the edge between what is familiar and what is new. And our work is
building bridges between people
in all our diversity and our God who loves us unconditionally.
